My good friend Dave just passed away on January 31st. I first met him @ his suprise birthday party last year in the Cape. Though I knew him only a year, and technically he was a friend of a friend (Ang Tipton), but oddly I felt like I knew him my entire life. He had been in and out of the hospital for the last couple years. I had the pleasure of hanging out with him and his wife two days before he left his physical body. Apparently when he was asked where he wanted his body to be put to rest, he replied "aw just lay me under a willow tree. Per his request I was asked to paint a willow tree that would be presented above his casket at his calling hour (two days from now. The images capture the willow tree coming to fruition. Hidden symbols and messages are sprinkled throughout the final piece.
