Sketch Series: Adult Mr. Potato Head (Reinterpreted)

Growing up I never actually owned a Mr. Potato Head toy but I have always appreciated the overall design. The ability to personalize, adapt, and store all the extremities/accessories within the body is genius. These concept sketches embrace the same fundamentals as Mr./Mrs. Potato Head with a risque/adult/morbid twist. By incorporating detailed genitalia/over exaggerated bodily/facial features/and the inclusion of socially relevant accessories, this famous couple will be surprisingly reinvented. I'm really feeling this concept and think others folks may appreciate the adult nature as well!

Sketch Series: Women's Sport

I currently design mens basketball apparel (shorts, hoodies, jackets, etc), designs which often flow naturally due to my interests, hobbies, and lifestyle. To keep the creative juices flowing freely sometimes you gotta switch up the medium. What better medium than the female figure! These are a few quick womens sport concepts I was working with on my flight to China earlier this year.

Sketch Series: Them Winos

These sketches are early drafts of characters/paintings inspired by close friends who consume wine like children drink milk. Though I don't fancy the substance myself, my folks speak to it as a stress reliever similar to beer, marijuana, or even exercise. Either way you look at it wine affects the human body/individuals completely different than other forms of intoxicants. Wine is often looked at as a sophisticated substance...my stance is that of an outsider...I can't wait to see where I'll take Them Winos next!

Willow Tree For Dave: Transitions

My good friend Dave just passed away on January 31st. I first met him @ his suprise birthday party last year in the Cape. Though I knew him only a year, and technically he was a friend of a friend (Ang Tipton), but oddly I felt like I knew him my entire life. He had been in and out of the hospital for the last couple years. I had the pleasure of hanging out with him and his wife two days before he left his physical body. Apparently when he was asked where he wanted his body to be put to rest, he replied "aw just lay me under a willow tree. Per his request I was asked to paint a willow tree that would be presented above his casket at his calling hour (two days from now. The images capture the willow tree coming to fruition. Hidden symbols and messages are sprinkled throughout the final piece.
